Making Question Guide
It's common that people end up having a question with OpenSync?. When writing one into #opensync irc channel or opensync-users mailing list, the answer is easier and faster to answer if other community members get the mandatory details in first message.
Thus person making the question should at least prepare the following information into initial message:
- opensync version: 0.22, 0.35, 0.36, 0.38, svn HEAD/trunk.
- Operating System: Sometimes it can be helpfull to know the OS Type, Distribution, ...
- list of plugins: vformat, file, syncml, evolution, ...
- other peer: phone, model, firmware version (nokia: *#0000#)
- connection types: usb, bt (Bluetooth), http
- object types: contacts, events (calendar), notes
- user interface: osynctool, kitchensync, gnome-sync
- actions that caused the problem: osynctool command with options, gui actions
